Please note: You must submit the CSU Mentor Application by November 30, 2009 to be considered for the Fall 2010 MSW Program (MSW application due January 8, 2010).
Information sessions will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Brighton Hall 101, on the following dates, reservations not required:

To be considered for admission to the Master of Social Work program, applicants must:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree with a liberal arts foundation (general education) from an accredited college or
university, or expect to be awarded prior to beginning graduate study;
- Have passed an approved course with human biology content with a grade
of "C" or better (should be completed no later than August
25, 2010);
- Have passed an approved course in statistics with a grade of ''C''
or better (should be completed no later than August 25, 2010);
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 for the last 60 semester units or 90 quarter units of coursework;
- Demonstrate writing proficiency.
The GRE is not required.
All applications are reviewed by the Division's Committee on Graduate Admissions. Previous academic work, experience in human services, personal development, and potential for successful professional practice are important considerations in the evaluation of applicants. Applicants may apply without having met the prerequisites. If accepted into the program, all prerequisites (except WPJ) must be completed by August 25, 2010.
The Three Year Weekend Intensive Program is not offered for Fall 2010. This program is usually offered every three years. Please check our website every October 1 for program offerings.
Applying to graduate school at Sacramento State entails a two part process:
(1) Submit an online CSU Application by November 30, 2009 for graduate studies at www.csumentor.org; AND
(2) complete the supplemental Division www.csumentor.org of Social Work MSW Program Application (listed below) by January 8, 2010.
