Colonel Edwin J. and Elvera E. Lindholm Cook Nursing Scholarship/Loan Fund

  • Award Amount: $200
  • Minimum GPA: 2.5
  • Class Level: All

  • Enrollment: Half-Time
  • Additional Requirements: Students who are interested in military, Veteran's Administration, or Indian Affairs nursing careers, and for other nursing students to the extent funding is available. The awards will be in the form of a loan to be repaid in accordance with normal CSUS short-term loans. For recipients who graduate and begin careers in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Veterans Administration, military Reserves, or Indian Affairs nursing programs, the loans will be forgiven in full with the completion of two years' full-time service.

Joe Serna Jr./Kaiser Permanente Nursing Scholarship

  • Additional Requirements: Candidates must demonstrate significant efforts to improve the health of the community, particularly the health of vulnerable populations such as the uninsured or underinsured.

Luisa del SC Hernandez Memorial Scholarship in Nursing

Solid clinical skills and understanding, exercise of sound judgment and demonstrate strong critical thinking skills will be attributes of a successful candidate.

Vera Koehler Graduate Research Scholarship

Sutter Nursing Scholarship

  • Class Level: Sophomore, Junior, Senior, 2nd Degree or Graduate Student. Must be admitted to the Clinical Nursing Program

  • Additional Requirements: To establish a strong link between The Sutter Health Scholars and the Sutter Health organization, scholars will, in writing or in person, present progress reports to the Sutter Health Foundation annually. Other criteria will include: 1. Special honors, recognition, or accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, leadership or community service; 2. Paid and unpaid work experience related to career goal; 3. Career plans after graduation; 4. Personal circumstances, i.e., financial need, disadvantaged status; 5. Statement of values indicating commitment to caring, service, learning and leadership; 6. Demographics of scholarship recipients reflects the demographics of the greater Sacramento region community served by both the colleges and Sutter Health Sacramento Sierra Region. The counties are Sacramento, Placer, Yolo, and El Dorado.
