RPTA 122 Information

*Please note that if you are looking for Fall 2008 sections of RLS 122, you must look for RPTA 122. Beginnig Fall 2008, RLS will cease to exist.

Welcome to RPTA 122. Please note that passing the WPE is required before registering for RPTA 122. Most sections of RPTA 122 fill very quickly, so register early. Once the seats are gone, sections will not add extra students. Beginning fall of 2007, the wait list will automatically be handled online through MySacState (individual instructors will not have their own wait lists).

This page contains only basic information about RPTA 122. If you have additional questions, please email Professor Greg Shaw, RPTA 122 Coordinator, or talk to your 122 instructor. (If you have questions regarding the Ropes Course at Sacramento State that are not related to RPTA 122, please contact Peak Adventures.)

RPTA 122 Ropes Dates for Spring 2008
The Spring 2008 make-up day is Sunday, May 4th at the Peak Adventures course.
*Because space is limited per Ropes session and because it is most beneficial to attend the Ropes Course with your own class, you cannot switch Ropes Course dates without:
(1) Prior permission from your instructor, and
(2) Prior permission from the instructor of the class you would like to attend Ropes with.
If you simply show up on a date that is not with your scheduled class, you will not be allowed to participate and you will not be given credit by your instructor for having attended. Failure to attend Ropes can result in an "I" for RPTA 122.
Please Note: For the Peak Adventures course, you must register and pay ahead of time at the Peak Adventures office. Money will not be accepted at the course itself.
Please Note: For the Grass Valley course, you must bring cash to the course for payment. Checks will not be accepted.

Careers in RPTA
Commercial Recreation (hospitality/tourism management) is one of four emphasis areas in RPTA - a minor in this concentration makes a nice complement to a degree in Business Administration
*Notice*
Recreation and Leisure Studies is changing its name! To better represent the management and leadership aspects of our degree program, we're changing our name to Recreation, Parks and Tourism Administration.
