Parent-Led Assistance Network (PLAN), co-directed with Michael Lawson of Communities In Schools. PLAN is a consumer-guided and consumer-run family/school/community empowerment initiative housed at Parkway and Woodlake Elementary Schools. It is currently being developed and implemented by residents of Franklin Villa and the Dixie Anne communities in Sacramento. It is a joint project of Communities In Schools of Sacramento, North Sacramento and Sac City Unified School Districts and the Division of Social Work at California State University, Sacramento. We and the PLAN parents are grateful to United Way for its third year of funding. Social Work students are encouraged to apply for internships.
