The drop-dead date for ordering textbooks for classes is four weeks prior to the beginning of the semester. After that time, it becomes increasingly unlikely that textbooks will be available for students on the first day of classes. Useful Items for constructing a Syllabus Course Description: These should be copied directly from the University catalog. The catalog descriptions can be obtained by searching the schedule of classes at My Sac State, clicking on the course, and scrolling to the bottom of the course information, and copy-and-pasting the course description into your document. Learning Objectives: These are the objectives ratified by the Division for each course. The term, "Learning Objectives", may only be applied to these objectives. Note: If the instructor wishes to list another set of goals for student outcomes, another designating term must be used.
