Fall 2008 MSW Admissions is now closed. The deadline was December 21, 2007.

The Fall 2009 application will be available October 1, 2008. (We do not have a spring admissions.)

To be considered for admission to the Master of Social Work program, applicants must:

1. Hold a bachelor’s degree with a liberal arts foundation from an accredited college or
   university, or expect to be awarded prior to beginning graduate study;
   
2. Have passed an approved course with human biology content with a grade of "C" or better (should be completed no later than August 25, 2009);
   
3. Have passed an approved course in statistics with a grade of ''C'' or better (should be completed no later than August 25, 2009);
   
4. Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 for the last 60 semester units or 90 quarter units of coursework;
   
5. Demonstrate writing proficiency.

All applications are reviewed by the Division's Committee on Graduate Admissions. Previous academic work, experience in human services, personal development, and potential for successful professional practice are important considerations in the evaluation of applicants. Applicants may apply without having met the prerequisites. If accepted into the program, all prerequisites (except WPE) must be completed by August 25, 2009. The GRE is not required.

The FALL 2009 MSW APPLICATION will be similar to the application for Fall 2008.
