Children’s Art Supply Donation Drive

During the month of November 2009, the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology is sponsoring a Children's Art Supply Drive benefiting the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services’ Youth Academy


When: November 2nd – 30th
Where: Please bring donations to reception at the Maryjane Rees Center, Shasta Hall Room 172.

Groups will compete for the most donations. Tracking markers for each donation will be placed on the bulletin board and logged for your group at the front desk. Each donation up to $25 gets a marker. You can make multiple small dollar donations over a number of days.

COMPETITION

The following groups will be competing for the most donations:

  • Junior Class
  • Senior Class
  • Graduate Students and Clients (conditional graduate students will be credited to the course level they are currently attending)
  • Faculty/Staff/Alumni/Community

DONATIONS

All art supplies are encouraged, however these items are especially needed.

  • Watercolor, tempera or acrylic paint
  • Clay/Play Dough
  • Coloring books
  • Plain white t-shirts (child or adult)
  • Children’s dance music
  • Headphones
  • Karaoke machine, karaoke or sing-a-long DVDs/CDs
  • Dress-up clothes (girls & boys)

Winners will receive a group prize!

First Annual SPA Homecoming Tailgate Party

The First Annual SPA Homecoming Tailgate Party Saturday, October 10th, 11:00 – 2:00 was a Great success! We accounted for over 200 visitors to our area and one the overall prize as well as the coveted Golden Spatula Award. Our appreciation and thanks to all of the alumni, family, students, faculty, staff, and comunity members that helped make this year's tailgate party a hit. Per the CSU system, the priority application filing period for Fall 2010 will be October 1 - November 30, 2009.

IMPORTANT!!:Students with International documents must submit transcripts/mark sheets at least one month prior to program deadline.
