Undergraduate Program in RPTA

The Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration at Sacramento State allows students to choose from two distinct degree concentrations:

(1) Recreation and Park Management - Students can choose from a variety of courses and internship possibilities related to this concentration's three emphasis areas. The courses are designed to allow students to either follow one emphasis area, or combine emphasis areas to relate to the individual's educational and career goals. The three emphasis areas are:

• Commercial Recreation, Tourism and Hospitality Management
• Community Recreation Management
• Park and Recreation Resource Management (formerly called Outdoor Recreation Management)

(2) Therapeutic Recreation - In this concentration area, students follow a more rigidly designed academic path to meet certification requirements. Please note that TR students must consult both the standard Internship Manual and the TRIGS Manual.
