| Admission
to the Program
The RN
student must meet with the RN/BSN Advisor and University Admission
Counselor, and:
- Be a California Resident with
a valid California RN license and a current CPR card.
- Be admitted to the University.
- Have
a minimum of 60 transferable semester units which include completion
of courses in each of the prerequisite requirements.
- Send official transcripts
to the University and unofficial transcripts to the Division of
Nursing.
- Have a minimum cumulative
GPA of 3.00 based on the last 30 graded semester units of transferable
course work, together with prerequisite courses taken prior to
the last 30 units.

- Anatomy
with a lab
- Physiology with a lab
- Microbiology with a lab
- English Composition
- General Psychology
- College Chemistry with a lab
- Nutrition
- Human Development
- Pharmacology (integrated or
separate course)
Nursing
Major Requirements
The
BSN requires a total of 120 and 132 units. This includes
51 units in the upper division Nursing Major for RNs; 9
units of upper division GE; and lower division GE and Nursing
courses transferred from another college or taken at CSUS
(includes all University graduation requirements).
General Education/University
Requirements
- Residency
must be established at CSUS. This is done by completing
a minimum
of 30 units on the CSUS campus and does not include challenge
or AP tests.
- Please seek advising from
General Education (GE) advisors regarding your specific needs
related to GE and University graduation requirements.
- All
Credit by Exam courses must be registered for prior to graduation
(spread out units among subsequent requirements).
