REQUIRED OF ALL TITLE IV-E STUDENTS
A reminder about Field, Seminars, and Process Notes
The requirements for field and seminar attendance as well as timely completion of process notes is part of the effort to provide students with an educational experience that is of the highest quality in preparation for practice in public child welfare.
GRADE FOR FIELD IS BASED ON:
Field Education is a yearlong course graded on a SP (satisfactory progress)/Credit-No Credit basis. The grade is assigned by the Director of Field based on the recommendation of the faculty field liaison. The field liaison recommends a grade based on the following:
- student completing all field assignments (specified above), the quality of these assignments.
- the student's field evaluation, completed by field instructor, and
- the liaison's assessment of the student's professional development relative to the practicum objectives set forth in this Policy Guide and whether or not the student is ready to proceed to the next phase-either into the professional world or into the second year of field (based on the bi-weekly meetings with the student and consultation with the field instructor)
