If YOU DON’T YET HAVE EXTERNAL FUNDING, THE CENTER FOR HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES RESEARCH CAN HELP YOU BY:

  • Reading, reviewing, and editing your manuscript draft

  • Critiquing draft grant proposals prior to submission to a funding agency

  • Facilitating networking opportunities with other faculty members with similar research interests

  • Offering assistance in the selection of an appropriate funding source

  • Providing assistance in the preparation of an internal research and creative activity award proposal to obtain pilot data

    • A module titled “Helpful hints for developing research and creative activity awards” is available on-line at http://online.csus.edu.  To login, click on the turquoise box labeled LoginMyWebCT.  In the WebCTID box type; wctnurs and type; nurs for the password.  Then select the above titled module.

 

IF YOU ALREADY HAVE EXTERNAL FUNDING, THE CENTER FOR HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES RESEARCH CAN HELP YOU BY: 

  • Providing data collection and data entry

  • Distributing, collecting, and analyzing surveys and/or outcome evaluations

  • Providing data base management

  • Recommending appropriate standardized instruments

  • Constructing and testing survey tools 

  • Scheduling and conducting qualitative interviews and data analysis

  • Obtaining access to community agencies to host research projects

  • Assisting you in developing job descriptions for research personnel

  • Managing subcontracts and the hiring of temporary personnel

  • Providing access to, and training of, students interested in participating in research

  • Training and supervising research personnel

  • Providing project managers

  • Organizing site visits required by funding agencies

  • Assisting you in development of the summary reports required by the funding agency

  • Providing confidential, secure storage space

  • Providing workspace for funded projects

  • Managing multi-source budgets

  • Providing clerical support for scheduling appointments and preparing written correspondence

  • Assisting you in drafting articles to disseminate the findings.
