guidelines listed on the NIH website (12 point Arial type, proposal
does not exceed 25 single spaced pages with one inch margins,
biographical sketches do not exceed 4 pages). Grammar, spelling, and

Requirements For Faculty Research Fellows Seeking Pilot Funding
|

Faculty member holds a full time
permanent position within the CHHS |
|
Faculty member agrees to select a
federally funded mentor and work with that individual in revising
drafts of the proposal submitted for extramural funding. Faculty
member allocates $ 1,200 of his/her pilot award as an honorarium for
the mentor. Mentors may be located using the NIH CRISP database or the
CSR study section lists. |
|
Funds may also be used to 1)
purchase needed equipment/supplies, 2) reimburse student assistants,
data collectors, or statisticians, 3) provide for faculty release
time, 4) purchase reprints of publications from the study, 5) pay for
conference travel to present findings. |

Faculty member agrees to involve /
mentor one female or diverse student in the research project |
|
Faculty member has research
publications and experiences that match the type of grant that will be
submitted |
|
Faculty member agrees to meet with
Dr. Raingruber during the proposal refinement process and agrees to
submit a revised proposal for federal funding within a one-year period
following the pilot award. |
|
Faculty member has completed and
submitted timely final reports for all previous awards for which he /
she has received funding (both intramural and extramural). |
|
